what are windows controls and their purpose

better in microsoft.public.wiin32.programmer.ui. Other good places to
look include Google and MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com). This

I think you may be talking about the window controls in a Word window, such
as the Minimize, Maximize, Restore, and Close buttons? Or perhaps the
entries on the Window menu?
